it's been 8 days...i know that's david hoodlike when it comes to keeping up my blog. but i have been blogging on my myspace sight that my students spend a lot of time on, so i am prioritizing. i will get no credit for that from scott, bob, or anybody else, but i figured it was worth mentioning.
i am pumped about the new series we're starting on easter weekend. "face the music" is going to be a great series. good, relevant teaching mixed with some great music and creativity.
i have really been thinking about some things lately. leadership comes in so many different forms. but more than anything else.....effective leaders must be servants. our concerns should be centered on the needs of those we are leading, not the needs of our overactive egos and inflated values of ourselves and our talents. it's a dangerous place to be when we feel we deserve certain status, or that God needs us to achieve his work.
it is a privilege to serve a God that uses us in spite of who we are and not because of who we are.....if that were the case i'd be toast. i'm out...
